The big day has finally arrived…or should I say that in 5 and a half hours I’ll be pulling on a pair of checked pants, buttoning up my chefs whites and skipping in my clogs to school. What I actually should say is that in five hours or so, I’ll be dreaming of my breakfast as I dress in a frenzy to go and cook people food!!! Alas… I wanted to send a few snapshots your way of the kind of leisurely breakfasts I used to enjoy when I had time, before I was a budding chef!!!
Btw (by the way), these shots are of some gorgeous Sicilian semolina rolls which I just happened to cap with a thin slice of orange, dots of butter and sugar. When they caramelised in the oven my whole home smelt of toasty rolls and marmalade….
