Thursday Cook-a-thon, otherwise known as culinary class
Big day in the kitchen today, the commercial cookery kitchen that is!
Today was frenzy & food filled but a lot of fun along the way! Once my body wakes up to the shock of 5:40am and I manage to drag my sorry/tired self to school, I perk up once those Chefs Whites get buttoned up and I say to myself, “today I am a chef in training!” Then I proceed to get thrown into the pots, pans and chaos that is commercial cooking!!!

It’s very rare that I’ll send school snaps your way and I (just wanted to mention) that in amongst these dishes from a Ballontine chicken leg, to a perfectly poached egg with creamed spinach, butterscotch poached pears and toasted almonds with beans (I’m usually in such a rush) to get to the next plate, taste and then serve it up! Hence I don’t have all my food snaps but I promise to send many more your way!

Lastly the piece de resistance, a stuffed chicken Ballontine with pistachio and bacon, it’s not, pretty, it’s not perfect but I made it!!!
