Weekend fun & Sunday night Schnitzel fest!

Took a lovely ferry to Fort Dennison in Sydney harbour with the girls yesterday.
We just happened to enjoy a few of these…
Why is it fish n chips always taste better in the sunshine.
As does dessert too (chocolate parfait, honeycomb marquise & orange sorbet, yum!)
Meanwhile…back at the ranch…

Finally settling in for a cosy evening & Sunday night calls for some Apple, Coriander Sauerkraut & Sunday Schnitzels. Why not enjoy a few steamed veg on the side, a little Telly and a foot rub (if you’re lucky…)

That sounds like a wonderful weekend! I know, everything does taste better eating outside in the sunshine, and to look at the food you were eating, I can see why you had a good time! You deserve to have a foot rub, you work so hard!!

That’s the most elegant portion of fish and chips I’ve ever seen. I love that first photo, it really conjures up an atmosphere.
It’s a truly beautiful location. The fortress is located in the middle of the harbour and surrounded by nothing else. The fish & chips tasted lovely and yes, it was a good day out.

One of the best things about the city is the harbour views and Fort Dennison is right in the middle of the harbour so you’re just surrounded by clear blue water and skies (hopefully.) Also they fire a cannon every day on the hour so there’s a lot of history surrounding the fort…

Lol, I’m still envious that you’ve eaten at both The Fat Duck & El Bulli so we’re pretty even! Just think, schnitzel could be on your next menu! After outstanding breakfast tortillas of course!

I love the beautifully frenched bones. And I am feeling cozy- curl up with a book very, very soon. After a bit of dinner… frick, I’m so hungry now perusing everyone’s weekend blog posts 
I’m glad you appreciate the Frenched bones Deb, I think they’re just a handle to everyone else, just to hold the breast up and munch! But it sure does make a difference to the final result & presentation…
I totally forgot that it was possible to dine on Fort Dennsion – was it scarily priced? I can smell the fish & chips from here – droooool.
Standard Sudney mains I’d say, $30 per main etc. the actual ferry was quite expensive though, $20 return (ouch!) but we figured as a larger group a water taxi would be cheaper (if we ever return…)
$20 for a ferry?! That is insane! Might make this a special day out soon
good plan. I loved the desserts and there’s a menu online at the webiste for Fort Dennison. Truly it’s about the views for me
