The Big Biccie baking relapse!
by girlinafoodfrenzy
Big, goey, centers, these biccies have it all! I love an old fashioned biscuit or cookie, choc-a-bloc filled with yummy things. Oozey & goey, fresh from the oven.
I like to think of these sweet, sweet moments as my baking relapses where I channel my inner CWA lady or (Betty Crocker, if you’re in the states) and a little while later there’s a pile of delicious home baked sweets on a pretty plate, waiting to be devoured.
Who am I kidding? I have these relapses quite often and I’m not too sure there’s a cure for this! (Plus if there is, do I really want one?)
But I am hoping, that you dear friend would certainly want this. You can easily change it up depending on your needs, or likes. Don’t like PB, don’t add it in. Hate coconut, swap it out for sultanas…the choices are endless,
Got a glass of ice cold milk? Well then, you’re half way to these lovely Big Biccie Bites!

Looks delicious and like the perfect mid-afternoon treat, crunchy and chewy at the same time!
I hope so! They’re actually great for breakfast with the addition of more coconut & oats. The tahini is a good butter substitute and someone mentioned protein powder too? For me a long day finishes with a cup of tea & a nice biccie, that’s my simple pleasure (if we have them) in the house!
Never heard that term biccie before, but I know I want to eat one, maybe 2 or 3! Care to join me! I know you want one! Bet they smell good!
True! I can still smell the coconut in my lounge room. Biscuit is our term for cookie here in Australia (adopted from the British.) Biccie is Aussie slang for the biscuit and I just thought big biccies! Sounded better for the title
What is a biccie? Is it a cookie? Even if it’s not, I see chocolate and coconut, so I’m in.
Thank you thoughtsy. That’s it, biccie is slang for biscuit and another word for cookie. Coconut is my new Achilles heel, love it! I’m going to try a new fried chicken recipe with cayenne and coconut to make the batter crunchy too (soon!)
Mmmm your biccies look incredible
Cheers
Choc Chip Uru
Thanks Uru! I love plain Choccy chip too sometimes but I love stuffing them with lots of yummy things from time to time. I know you’re the biscuit connoisseur so glad they get your approval too
Ha-ha-ha. Delightful! Do you really want a cure? God forbid! Goodness gracious! The sweet things in the kitchen makes life that much sweeter. And this sweet treat looks like the ultimate cookie. Love your last photo and your cute bottle of milk. This in my book is a GREAT after school/work snack.
Definitely! I agree on the baking bit, sometimes you just want to make something tasty from scratch. It’s not for everyone but gee, the smell of freshly baked cookies is like ‘heaven.’ I’m still enjoying one with a cup of tea at the end of the day so (very much) appreciated by me (of course!)
I can imagine how great these biccies would be with a glass of milk fresh out of the oven, and I think that once they’d cooled I would probably want to dunk them into a steaming mug of tea. How fantastic, those chocolate drops would melt and dribble into my mouth…….I’m salivating at the thought!
Thanks Lorna. I’m always amazed by the simplicity & tastiness of a decent biccie. Either a glass of cold milk or a cuppa is the ultimate dunking test. They were warm and melty, exactly as you described and oh-so-fudgey the next day. In fact, it’s amazing there are still any in our home!
these look absolutely delicious!! And no, I can’t think of any reason why I wouldn’t love any of those flavours! haha.. oh dear. I’m now craving for these biccies too!! And for some reason I have a feeling that I already own all of those ingredients….. uh oh. lol
Ah ha! I know right, who could resist the lure of freshly baked goods and you are a cookie queen! It’s raining and windy & pretty darn awful right now so the lure to bake gets stronger day by day! I’d expect that your pantry would be well stocked with many yummy supplies
A cookie by any name is great and your big biccies look very yummy.
Thanks Karen, I’m sure that everyone has a favourite biscuit or cookie recipe but I figure it’s fun to share too
Oh how I wish I could reach through the screen and grab one of those biccies! They are filled with all my fav ingredients so I don’t think I’d change a thing. If I wasn’t so tired, I’d be heading to the kitchen!
Aww, no doubt a busy summers day again. As for a bit of cookie love I’m a sucker for choc-filled-coconutty goodness
Thanks for stopping by too!
You have fabulous pictures! Not to mention I’m sure these are delicious!
Hi Tori, thank you
got to love some biccies in the dead of wintertime here and baking is my remedy for the winter blues!
I’ll take biccies ANYTIME of year! hehe!
That’s the spirit!
Gorge. I love cookies, in all shapes and “names”! Hee…..Betty Crocker yourself some more, it is always needed! Lovely photos as always Alice! Yum…..now I’m on a diet from my over-eating extravaganza. But, I think maybe one day I get to cheat!
Hi Carla! The food!!! Oh the food, glad to hear you had a fabulous time and judging by your pics, each calorie was worth it! Glad to hear you might have the odd cheat day though, one cookie never hurt
That’s what I keep telling mysefl
