Soft fluffy insides…warm jam centers…dusted clouds of sugar and cinnamon…sigh…was there ever something as wonderful as these!
I write to you all (finally!) at the end of my butchery module. I’ve trussed, I’ve roasted, I’ve eaten things I would never have tried if not trying them blank point with a strong team of other youthful chefs, all with much more adventurous taste buds than mine. Brains, tongues, sweetbreads, livers, (yum!) hearts, the list goes on…
You’re probably wondering why I entice you all with pictures of delicious treats and sweets and then (waffle on about) butchery, alas… My remedy for all that chopping & dicing will be to immerse myself in 6 weeks of light and fluffy desserts (at school) and hopefully pick up some new skills which I can share with you all.
Will there be doughnuts, perhaps not? Will there be a Food Frenzy? Most definitely….
These Doughnuts are best eaten on the day (or frozen, then defrosted in the microwave.)
