As my first outing in Sydney (for well over a year,) I relished the opportunity to explore a new gem in the heart of the Inner East.
Already well renowned for their weekend High Tea & Vodka pairings, the new chef has been inspired by the freshly revamped decor.
Both the venue & the menu are coziness to a tea, (no pun intended.)
It’s the best of homestyle cooking, with Traditional Eastern European food reimagined and bought up to date in a very hip part of town.
Baby free & on a (grown up’s) outing, the cocktail list was very welcome that night.
For the Gin lovers, I’d recommend the Botanical Fizz. For the dessert aficionado, the Spiced Apple Pie martini will delight, (it’s that good!)
Signature fried Cauliflower with parsley, watercress & reduced red wine vinegar
My dish of the night, was the Octopus & Calamari with mixed grains, crispy black rice & chard
Haloumi & tapioca cubes with spice tomato relish.
For the true carnivore in your life, it’s Slow roasted pork knuckle with pickled apples, horseradish cream & mustard
If you’re looking for a place to escape those Winter Blues, then look no further than the Food Society.
Expect warm hospitality, delicious comfort food in a homestyle way and don’t forget the Vodka ;)
