Chocolate Fondants
This delectable recipe is adapted from the Masterchef Gary Mehigan, link can be found here, I did adjust quantities below (though) if you want half a dozen, stay with the original recipe!!!
Time: 20-25 mins max!
Yield, I made four!
Ingredients:
100g dark chocolate (or there abouts)
2.5 tbsp or cubes butter
2 eggs
60g raw sugar
1 Tbsp Cocoa powder
60g flour
Double cream or (ice cream, custard etc) to serve
Method:
Preheat oven to 180C (355F) oil/grease your silicone moulds, dariole tins or muffin trays etc.

I zapped the butter & chocolate in a heatproof bowl in the microwave on high for 25 secs

When the butter had melted, I took out the bowl and stirred (you might need 10secs more depending on the wattage of your microwave)

Once the chocolate had reached a molten consistency I set aside,

In a large mixing bowl add the sugar and two eggs,

Add the flour, cocoa powder and whisk to combine

It will be a runny batter like so,

Stir in the cooled chocolate/butter mixture, it will immediately thicken on standing,

Batter ready to pour into moulds,

I greased four stand alone silicone moulds, you can use dariole moulds, muffins tins etc. I had just enough for 4 fondants.
Place in the preheated oven, I baked mine for 10 mins maximum! Remember Oozy is the goal!

This looks really reach and luxurious! I need a chocolate fix right now!
Very glad you enjoyed! I always try to have a nice Choco fix on hand at the ready!
